Youngstown State Game Day Information
EAST LANSING, Michigan – Michigan State Athletics will host the first home football game of the 2021 season on Saturday, September 11 against Youngstown State at noon.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early on campus and at Spartan Stadium on Saturday.
In accordance with Michigan State University health guidelines, the following COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place for fans attending soccer games at Spartan Stadium:
- All individuals are required to wear face masks indoors in all buildings on the Michigan State campus. With this policy in place, face coverings must be worn by all persons present in an area inside Spartan Stadium, unless actively eating or drinking.
- The requirement to cover the face indoors includes, but is not limited to, the Spartan Stadium lobby, restrooms, elevators, interior suites and club areas and press box.
- Face coverings will not be required but are encouraged in the outdoor bowl at Spartan Stadium.
- For the safety of guests and staff, staff on duty should wear a mask in all areas inside Spartan Stadium.
MSU has ample parking available on football match days. The university offers a variety of parking options designed to enhance your game day experience. All car parks will be open at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
-Cherry Lane is available for public parking ($ 30). Entrance to the Cherry Lane public car park can be made at lot 70 off Birch Road.
-The other public prizes ($ 20) include:
-Ramp 1 (MSU College of Law ramp, off Shaw Lane)
-Ramp 5 (Communications Arts & Sciences ramp, near corner of Trowbridge Road and Red Cedar Road)
-Ramp 6 (West Circle Drive)
-Food Safety and Toxicology Plot (near corner of Trowbridge Road and Farm Lane)
Accessible parking is available in Lot 48, Natural Resource Building. Enter through the Trowbridge Extension off Red Cedar or Farm Lane. Parking in this area is $ 20, which includes shuttle transportation to the northeast corner of Spartan Stadium. The shuttle starts two hours before kick-off and returns for a reasonable amount of time after the game. The shuttle back to the accessible car park is accessible from the northeast gates of the stadium.
Parking for motorhomes
Recreational vehicle parking is available in lot 97 behind the Engineering Research Building. The cost is $ 60 per RV. Parking for charter buses costs $ 100.
A shuttle service is available from lot 89 at the corner of Mt. Hope Road and Farm Lane. The shuttle starts two hours before kick-off and returns for a reasonable amount of time after the game. The cost is $ 5 per game for a round trip ticket or $ 30 for a season pass. Parking is free. Masks are mandatory in the shuttle.

Please note that the I-496 eastbound ramp to US-127 northbound is closed for construction. In addition, the Trowbridge Road Westbound Ramp to the US-127 Northbound Ramp is also closed for construction. Please follow the detour signs.
Michigan State Athletics, in partnership with SIDEARM Sports, has upgraded its mobile app for the upcoming 2021-22 sports calendar.
New features in the app include a special section for football match days, with information on parking and tailgating, a free schedule for match days, live audio, team rosters and more. Moreover. Fans seated in the Sideline Club at Spartan Stadium will also have the option to purchase concessions directly from the app and have them delivered to their seats. To access the football match day section, click on the three lines in the top left corner of the app for the navigation menu.
MSU welcomes thousands of football fans to East Lansing and Spartan Stadium every football matchday. Saturday lots will open at 7 a.m. MSU understands that tailgating is an important part of game day activities and wants to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable experience. If your plans include tailgating in one of the designated parking areas on the MSU campus, please adhere to the following rules:
- No sofas or upholstered furniture.
- No drums or other common source containers.
- No structures for drinking games and / or paraphernalia.
- No trailers of any type, including pig roasters.
- Oversized trucks must park in the RV parking lot.
- Waste must be disposed of in the receptacles available.
- No tents larger than 10 ‘x 10’.
- No tobacco products may be used on campus at any time
The MSU Police Department and assistance agencies conduct regular patrols in designated parking areas to respond to emergencies and enforce state laws and university ordinances.
The State of Michigan has a no-baggage policy for sporting events, including Spartan Stadium. Fans are permitted to bring one fan-sealed water bottle (maximum 20 oz).
TAILGATE BIG TEN
Before heading to Spartan Stadium on Saturday, stop by the Big Ten Tailgate live on Munn Field. Doors open at 9 am, with the show airing live on Big Ten Network from 10-12. Stop for free Spartan gear and giveaways, and wave to be seen on national television!
MEIJER FAN FESTIVAL
The Meijer Fan Fest, located at Munn Field, opens three hours before the kick-off of each home football game. The Meijer Fan Fest features a football raffle, photo opportunities with the 6ft tall Spartan letters, a giant inflatable Sparty, a fan prep station, live streaming of the prequel show. Severe weather: In the event of bad weather, information will be shared with fans via the sound system and on video panels. In the event of an evacuation, bailiffs, police and security guards will help direct people to the nearest shelter. Sections 1-15 and 105-112 will be directed to Wells Hall, while Sections 16-30 and 120-127 will be directed to IM West.
