Last year, Ikea collaborated with Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) to develop an affordable line of “gaming first” furniture. Next month, it will finally launch in the United States.

The furniture was first introduced in China earlier this year and consists of ergonomic furniture products as well as fun and functional accessories. Affordable and good performance aren’t usually two terms used together, but that’s what Ikea and Asus promise with this ROG line.

“We believe there is a lot that can be done to democratize the gaming experience,” says Ewa Rychert, Global Business Leader of Workspace at Ikea. “Now we’re taking the first step in our gaming adventure, and we’re doing it by presenting affordable, high-performance gaming products and end-to-end solutions that we hope reflect people’s personalities and tastes. ”

Six product families are included, offered under the names Uppsel, Lanespelare, Matchspel, Gruppspel, Utespelare and Huvudspelare. Product categories include gaming desks, gaming chairs, mouse bungee, mouse pads, cpu holder on casters, ring light and phone holder, cabinet, drawers, insulated tumbler , a cup holder, a multifunctional pad / blanket, a cervical pillow and a wooden helmet holder.

The full line of more than 30 products is expected to be available online and in US Ikea stores from October, although a specific launch date has not yet been revealed. They’re not kidding by offering affordable products, with desks starting at $ 159 and chairs starting at $ 129.
