Frankfurt Airport Retail unveils a new “World of Beauty” experience
Retail at Frankfurt Airport (FAR) has opened a new beauty salon, located in Terminal 1 B-Non-Schengen of the German hub.
FAR, a joint venture between Gebr Heinemann and airport operator Fraport, invites travelers to let their senses travel by aiming to set new standards in terms of offer, service and experience in the perfume and cosmetics category.
The 855 mÂ² showcase a range of exclusive brands and beauty products, integrated into a world of digital entertainment.
FAR’s ‘Beauty World’ is located directly behind airport security checks and can be seen from afar: Large screens on the exterior facade display the motifs of the ‘Take Your Senses Traveling’ campaign in pictures animated.
Inside the store, more than 30 brands are presented in a personalized way with their own furniture and design. These included Kiehl’s, Tom Ford, NARS, Gucci, luxury skincare brands such as The sea and La prairie, and niche brands such as Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Acqua di Parma, Jo Malone and Creed.
the “Looklab” transforms beauty into experience: an LED installation with brand and product animations draws attention to this space of the boutique. The screens form the shape of a swirl. In the “Looklab”, passengers will find trendy brands such as By Terry and Pixi, that Gebr Heinemann recently added to its product line, as well as new category concepts such as “Minis to fly” – products in small sizes – and a lipstick bar where lipsticks can be digitally tried on. The Looklab concept is aimed specifically at young target groups.

To create a modern and individual appearance for the store, FAR has brought a new generation of mid-range furniture to the store. The furniture includes integrated decoration and impulse areas, through which brands and products such as Rituals, Biotherm and Dr Barbara Sturm are presented.
Another key word is sustainability. The furniture is modular and can be used flexibly. It can be adapted to different requirements and used over and over again. The beauty store provides a gateway to the next shopping experience through a special offers section of the luxury food segment. This area links with the neighboring FAR Duty Free store, which offers a wide range of spirits, wines, tobacco and sweets.
