DUMC’s Massive Spring Sale Is Almost Here

If you like a bargain, don’t miss the Dexter United Methodist Church Spring Sale on April 29-30.

Think of it as a triplea way to 1) avoid some of that inflation, 2) buy locally by supporting local causes, and 3) contribute financially to international efforts by providing food, shelter, and education to families.

And you get the item of your choice in return, which I guess makes it a Fourfer.

Those who have been going to Dexter for at least or longer are likely familiar with DUMC’s massive spring sale at its main campus located at 7643 Huron River Dr., just outside of Dexter. An acre of lawn outside showcases furniture, appliances, bikes, sports equipment, tools, and anything else that can be imagined. Inside the church gymnasium, Newkirk Commons, tables are filled with clothing, toys, books, kitchen utensils, decorations and more.

DUMC women’s and men’s groups spend the week setting up tables and tents, organizing donated goods in their respective departments. In total, approximately 700 volunteer hours are devoted to the event. Thousands of dollars are raised. With the exception of tents and other incidentals, all money goes to local and international charity programs.

The DUMC Spring Sale has been held for 35 years, beginning in the old basement of the building on Central Church Street. Join in the fun and tradition and get great deals.
