The Bitter Root Arts Guild’s Christmas Extravaganza Show will be held at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds, First Interstate Building, on November 5-6.

“We are bigger and better than ever,” said Trish Becker, President of BRAG. “All of our artists live in Montana and all of their designs are handmade. We have a range of some of the best artisans and artists that Montana and the Bitterroot Valley have to offer.

The BRAG event will include a raffle with wonderful creations brought in by the vendors and the proceeds will go to Braggarts, BRAG’s arts program. BRAG’s mission is “to increase knowledge and encourage participation in all art forms for its members and the general public”.

“We do this through our Braggarts program, our education fund that we draw on to support arts education, workshops and classes,” Becker said. “We are proud to partner with Artists Along the Bitterroot to deliver arts education programs in the Bitterroot Valley.

The Extravaganza Christmas Show will feature tastings of craft spirits from Willie’s Distillery, succulent dishes from the Moose Creek BBQ and drinks from Marley’s Bar.

There will also be organic beans, a salsa mix, wooden puzzles, rock rugs, mosaics, shelves, wardrobes, doll furniture, leather handbags, hats, painted galvanized pewter and letterboxes, puppets, wreaths, wreaths for all occasions, blown glass, handmade fishing flies, soaps, lotions, skin care, wooden kitchen utensils, photography, picture frames, lavender, hand knitted clothing, candy cane wreaths, night lights, crochet and knitted items and baked goods. The BRAG event will have hand sanitizer stations as well as personal spray hand sanitizers provided upon entry, while supplies last.

“We ask people to follow the safety guidelines, have a good time and be kind,” Becker said. “BRAG is a non-profit organization and all of our profits benefit the arts and people in our community. Make a list and come shop with us.

Becker said everyone helps with big projects, BRAG has 58 members and is getting stronger.

“Each of our members has something to offer, BRAG is proud and honored to share the best of the Bitterroot Valley and Western Montana with all of our neighbors,” said Becker. “As our valley grows, so do we. Thank you all, creators and appreciators, for being a part of our wonderful and thriving arts community. “

The Bitter Root Arts Guild’s Christmas Extravaganza Show, admission free, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, November 5 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 6 at the First Interstate Building, Ravalli County Park exhibitions, 100 Old Corvallis Rd., Hamilton.

BRAG 2022 shows include the Spring Show, the second Saturday in April; Art in the Park on the second Saturday in July and the Holiday Show on the first Friday and Saturday in November.
